Macy has a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, where she specialized in play therapy. At the core of her work, Macy aims to help clients express themselves and navigate their emotions through the power of play & connection.
In addition to general therapy concerns, Macy specializes in autism, ADHD, PDA, giftedness, and sensory processing disorders. She is passionate about working with clients overcoming life transitions, relationship issues, trauma, spiritual abuse, and LGBTQIA+ identity concerns. She has also had specialized training in working with children 3-10 years old.
As a counselor, Macy creates a safe and accepting space for clients to be their full, authentic selves. She believes that when people are properly supported and empowered, they naturally move toward growth, no matter their age! Her style of therapy incorporates person-centered and psychodynamic theory, Internal Family Systems therapy/parts work, Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), sand tray therapy, and expressive arts therapy.
In her spare time, Macy loves to do yoga and pilates, explore the great outdoors, binge British crime dramas, and craft her heart out.
