Kelsey holds an Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. Her previous experience involved working with adolescents and adults at a trauma center in Nashville helping clients with C-PTSD and mood disorders. Her passion for trauma work continued as she provided group counseling on DBT skills as well as presented at the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor Association (TLPCA) Conference on counselor burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.

She has honed in her specialties working with complex trauma including medical and relational trauma, social anxiety, chronic pain, and helping clients navigate these with neurodivergence. Her passion for helping client’s heal from their stories led her to seek training in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help her client’s heal using a meaningful and individualized approach at the intersection of clients’ diverse identities.

Kelsey understands how trauma can deeply affect our relationships with others, the way we feel about ourselves, and our sense of freedom. Outside of her work with clients, she loves nature walks, cozy beverages and bookstores, and creating space for mindful living.
